The
photographs of the ships were taken from
the window of my flat which overlooks the
Firth of Forth in Scotland.
with my Nikon camera and fieldscope. The
ships would be in the region of 8 to 10
miles off shore.
The lifting rig was photographed from the
shore near North Berwick and was approximately
2 miles off shore but at that time
taken with my Minolta camera hence the vignetting
as will be seen in Examples
of Vignetting. There you will also see
details
of the rig.
